Vladimir Putin answered questions in a live television and radio broadcast

The broadcast of the Hot Line with the President of Russia lasted for three hours and five minutes.

During that time the President answered more than 60 questions asked during the direct television link-ups with various parts of Russia, via telephone, or via the Hot Line's website.

The President had direct television link-ups with Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Podkolodnovka village (Voronezh region), Plesetsk (Arkhangelsk region), regional capital Botlikh (Republic of Dagestan), Kazan, Sochi, Krasnaya Polyana, Rzhev (Tver region), Kaliningrad, as well as Aktau (Kazakhstan).

As of 14 October 2007, the date that questions started to be accepted, more than 2,5 million questions to the President were collected. The majority of them came via telephone, and 92,000 via the Internet. During the live broadcast questions via SMS were also accepted.

Following the live broadcast of the Hot Line with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin answered journalists' questions. The head of state described the Hot Line as a good sample of public opinion and issues that interest Russian citizens.
