The main topics discussed were the situation concerning Iran and the Middle Eastern peace process.
The leaders also discussed issues concerning Russia and Israel's bilateral relations, including the prospects for trade and economic cooperation.
At Mr Olmert’s request, Mr Putin also spoke about the results of his recent visit to Tehran, where he took part in the second summit of Caspian states and held talks with the Iranian leadership.
