Noting the successful interaction between the two countries both in the sphere of security and in other areas, the President stressed that the recent meeting between the Russian and Armenian leaders during the session of the Collective Security Council in Moscow had resolved some important issues connected with the promotion of allied partnership between the two countries.
Mr Putin congratulated Robert Kocharian and all the Armenian people on the May 28 holiday, the Day of the First Republic, stressing the importance of the forthcoming Armenia-Diaspora Forum in Yerevan. In connection with this the Russian President expressed hope that the Union of Armenians of Russia, which plays an important part in promoting Russian-Armenian cooperation, would be duly represented at the Forum.
The Russian President’s message was handed over by Secretary of the Russian Security Council Vladimir Rushailo who was in Yerevan on a working visit.
