Sergei Kirienko told the President about the results of work completed by the Russian nuclear energy industry in 2007.
They also discussed structural changes in the sector.
On 3 December 2007 the President signed a federal law that provides for establishing Rosatom, a Federal Atomic Energy Corporation. Vladimir Putin suggested that Sergei Kirienko head the corporation.
