Joint development and production of military equipment with other countries were the topics of discussion. As the President pointed out, this is one of the most promising areas for cooperation, which during a crisis will facilitate expenses reductions and enhance scientific and technological relations.
The session also touched on issues of training foreign military experts in the Defence Ministry educational establishments.
The session was attended by members of the Commission: Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, Presidential Aide and Secretary of the Commission Sergei Prikhodko, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, Director of Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov and Director of the Federal Service for Military Technology Cooperation Mikhail Dmitriev.
