Choosing a candidate for this post was not a simple task. The right candidate has to be professional, someone with decency and integrity and someone who has solid experience in various areas of state activities.
Later, meeting with the government, the President noted that Mikhail Fradkov, Russia’s representative at the European Commission, has shown himself to be good and efficient organiser and manager.
Mr Putin said he hoped the State Duma would support Mr Fradkin’s nomination and called on the members of the government involved in administrative reform to continue their work as soon as possible with the new Prime Minister.
