This will be the first time that Mr Putin is taking part in the Supervisory Council’s meetings. The heads of federal ministries, the heads of the Russian Football Union, business community representatives, and the heads of regions that will host world cup matches will also take part.
Mr Putin will also visit the Luzhniki Grand Sports Arena and see how the reconstruction work there is going. Luzhniki will host the opening match, one semi-final match and the final match in 2018.
