Mr Putin once again expressed his condolences to the victims’ family members, as well as all Armenian people, following the tragedy that occurred several days ago in the city of Gyumri, where an entire family was killed.
The President of Russia expressed certainty that all necessary investigative measures will be taken as quickly as possible and the perpetrators will be punished in accordance with the law.
Mr Putin also expressed hope that the Russian doctors who have arrived in Gyumri will work with their Armenian colleagues to provide the necessary expert support to the 6-month-old survivor of this tragedy, Sergei Avetisyan.
The President of Russia also assured his Armenian colleague that if necessary, Russia is prepared to send a medical aircraft to take the child to Moscow to undergo further treatment.
In addition, during the telephone call, Mr Putin and Mr Sargsyan discussed current issues in Russian-Armenian relations.
