Following on from an agreement reached during the talks between the leaders of Russia, Germany and France, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, President of France Francois Hollande, and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
The four leaders agreed that joint work to prepare the comprehensive measures aimed at settling the crisis in southeastern Ukraine will continue at the expert level in Berlin on February 9. This will be followed by a meeting of the Contact Group. The aim is to prepare the conditions and substance for the planned upcoming summit in the Normandy format in Minsk on February 11.
