Bear Lakes Satellite Communications Centre is a subsidiary of Federal State Unitary Enterprise [FGUP] Russian Satellite Communications Company. Established in 1967, the centre has an extensive range of capabilities for setting up satellite communication channels. It provides a wide spectrum of telecommunication services including transmission and reception of various analogue and digital traffic across the territory of Russia and other countries.
The President also visited technical research association IRE – Polus Co., which develops and manufactures high performance fiber lasers and various instruments, systems and units for fiber-optic and satellite communications, cable television, industrial laser cutting, welding and other tools, and lasers for medical use. IRE – Polus is a provider of advanced laser technology for the Russian and CIS markets.
Founded in 1991, IRE – Polus is a leading company within IPG Photonics Corporation which is the major developer and manufacturer of high-performance fiber lasers and amplifiers for diverse applications in numerous markets. IPG Photonics is a global company with manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Germany, Russia and Italy.
