The President said, in particular, in his message:
“Your forum has become a regular event now that brings together the heads of relevant ministries and agencies, scientists, experts, and practicing doctors from many different parts of the country. It brings together people who have devoted their lives to the important and noble work of caring for people’s health, know very well the urgent problems our country’s medical system faces today, and help to resolve these problems with success through their conscientious daily work and real action.
The National Medical Chamber has done much over the last years to help consolidate the professional community around common tasks and goals and has made a big contribution to reform in the sector. Your initiatives are always needed and relevant and aim to improve the legislative base, strengthen medical workers’ legal and social guarantees, improve the professional training system, and make medical services better quality and more affordable. I want to make it clear that we will continue taking into account the medical community’s views when drafting and implementing state healthcare policy.”
The Congress is taking place in Moscow on May 22–23.
