The President will visit an exhibition of the latest developments in the military sector and will speak via videoconference with students from Bauman Moscow State Technical University and the Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk), who are going through training and doing their military service in scientific military detachments.
The First International Military-Technical Forum Army-2015 will take place on June 16–19, 2015, at the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Centre at the military-patriotic recreation park in Kubinka, Moscow Region.
This is the first time that Russia’s Defence Ministry is organising such a large-scale event, involving foreign partners from military, defence industry, and science and industrial fields. The event’s emphasis is on scientific cooperation and new dual-purpose developments and technology. The exhibition’s 50 thematic clusters will present around 5,000 different developments from Russia’s defence industry, from uniforms and equipment to medicine and aerospace technology.
The event’s scientific and business programme includes around 80 briefings, round tables and conferences, which will focus on the main issues for developing military-technical cooperation and projects and foundations for further innovative development.
