The Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Mongolia on the Settlement of Mongolia’s financial obligations to the Russian Federation was signed in Moscow on December 14, 2010.
As of December 14, 2010, the total volume of Mongolia’s financial obligations to the Russian Federation amounted to the equivalent of $174.2 million.
In accordance with the agreements reached, Mongolia will not repay 97.8 percent of its financial obligations to Russia. The remainder of its debt amounting to $3.8 million is to be repaid in a one-time payment within 30 calendar days after the Agreement comes into force.
