The Federal Law clarifies the criteria and conditions for foreign citizens and stateless persons to obtain Russian Federation citizenship under simplified procedures.
The Law’s provisions concern foreign citizens and stateless persons who have received professional education in Russia after July 1, 2002, who work in Russia and are qualified specialists; foreign citizens and stateless persons who are individual entrepreneurs and conduct business activity in Russia; foreign citizens and stateless persons who are investors and have a stake in a Russian legal entity’s charter capital.
The Law sets out the conditions by which these categories of people can obtain Russian citizenship under a simplified procedure.
