The message reads, in part:
“This is now the 25th time that ancient Vitebsk is putting on a hospitable welcome for talented artists, musicians and performers from various countries and becoming a centre of creativity and friendly contact. In line with tradition, Slavyansky Bazaar’s programme is rich and diverse and includes numerous concerts, competitions, exhibitions, theatre performances, and festive events in the streets.
There is no doubt that this kind of big cultural event contributes to the Slavic peoples’ spiritual unity and strengthens trust and understanding between them. There can be no underestimating the event’s importance for developing international humanitarian cooperation. Of course, the festival organisers’ efforts to support talented young people taking their first steps in the high-level art world is particularly valuable.
I am certain that this festival will be vivid and memorable and will leave its participants and spectators with the most positive and unforgettable impressions”.
The 25th Slavyansky Bazaar in Vitebsk International Arts Festival takes place on July 14–18.
