The President’s message reads, in part:
“On these days, people traditionally look back, reflect on their deeds of the past year and make plans for future. The New Year gives everyone strength and opportunities to become better and walk the path of good, mercy and justice.
It is pleasant to see that Jewish organisations do a lot to preserve religious and national customs and traditions, and to teach followers of Judaism respect for the invaluable historical, spiritual legacy of their ancestors. And of course, their extensive, much-needed work, aimed at preserving peace and harmony in society, countering any form of anti-Semitism and xenophobia, and implementing educational charity projects and initiatives, deserves profound recognition.”
