The federal law simplifies the procedure for issuing visas to foreign nationals arriving in the Russian Federation via border checkpoints in the Vladivostok Free Port, and specifies the rules for their stay in and exit from the Russian Federation.
For nationals of the states listed by the Government, the federal law introduces a simplified application procedure for single-entry business, tourist and humanitarian visas of up to 30 days with a permitted stay of up to eight days.
The law envisages the possibility to issue electronic visas based on resolutions of a federal executive body in charge of foreign affairs with respect to visas for foreign nationals applied for electronically.
Foreign nationals arriving in the Russian Federation with electronic visas via the border checkpoints in the Vladivostok Free Port are allowed to travel freely within the region of entry. The above stated foreign nationals must enter the Russian Federation via the checkpoints in the Vladivostok Free Port area.
Additionally, the federal law stipulates that consular fees will be waived for the electronic visas issued to foreign nationals arriving in the Russian Federation via border checkpoints in the Vladivostok Free Port.
