The two leaders met after the SCO summit to discuss bilateral cooperation.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Mr President,
We have had enough time to speak together in the course of today's events. Nevertheless, I am happy to discuss our bilateral relations in a more private setting. There is quite a lot in terms of quantity and areas of cooperation.
I am very glad to see you.
President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj (retranslated): Mr President, thank you for taking the time to meet with us.
I greatly enjoy working with you and your team. We have so far failed to resolve many bilateral issues, but now we have a new Parliament, and a new Government. I have met with representatives of my Parliament and Government and discussed international relations with them.
I have particularly noted that the most important among these issues are relations with Russia. I think I have conveyed this at the meeting: we should always have very good relations with Russia and no problems should arise.
All relations with Russia are good, all investments from Russia are good (in Russian). It is in this direction that we need to move.
