The message reads, in part:
“This significant and diverse project has already established its own traditions and asserted itself as a remarkable event in the cultural and public life of many countries. It presents an excellent opportunity to our fellow compatriots and friends to get involved in the holiday and attend concerts by talented Russian performers.
I am certain the celebration will be up to the highest standards and will leave its guests with the most wonderful and unforgettable memories. Of course, the festival will promote friendship and understanding between our countries and peoples.”
The Russia Day In The World international project is taking place for the third time this year. Prominent Russian performers introduce audiences in other countries to Russian arts and culture.
In the two years since the project started, 11 concerts have been held in eight countries involving more than 1,000 performers and attended by over 20,000 people.
In 2017, Russia Day concerts will take place on June 12 at Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Gasteig Philharmonic Hall in Munich and the International Convention Centre in Jerusalem.
