The message reads, in part:
“This large forum, with representatives from central and local authorities, parliamentarians, public and political figures, and business leaders from more than 20 countries, shows the growing interest in establishing economic, humanitarian and cultural ties with the Republic of Crimea. I am sure that our foreign guests will have a chance to see the life of this Russian region, fast-growing and open to cooperation in various fields.
Today, more people realize that it is unacceptable to use double standards; they support a constructive dialogue between all members of the international community based on equality and mutual respect. In this regard, I consider it important to establish the International Association of the Friends of Crimea. This initiative fully reflects the positive changes in global public opinion.
I hope that the conference participants will hold productive and informative discussions and plan joint promising projects and initiatives that will serve the interests of our countries and peoples.”
