Participants in the meeting of the Coordinating Council for Implementing the National Children’s Strategy for 2012–2017 will discuss a wide range of issues related to childhood and sum up the results of the Council’s work in the last five years.
The Coordinating Council was established in September 2012 with the aim of ensuring assistance to various government agencies at all levels as well as public and scientific organisations in implementing the National Children's Strategy. The Council develops proposals to the President on priority points of the general state policy in the interests of children. The Council is headed by Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko.
