The Government of the Russian Federation was instructed to introduce legislative amendments requiring healthcare workers to follow clinical recommendations and treatment protocols when providing medical services and establishing liability for actions preventing the execution by healthcare workers of their professional duties.
In addition to this, the Government was instructed to submit proposals on ways to promote domestic manufacturing of medical equipment and products for providing high-technology medical services to people with vision and hearing impairments, as well as regarding the production of iodine enriched foods.
The Healthcare Ministry, together with the Education and Science Ministry, were instructed to make arrangements for introducing degree programmes on Speech Pathology and Neuropsychology in the curriculum of higher education institutions specialised in medicine and pharmaceuticals.
Together with regional executive authorities of the Russian Federation, the Healthcare Ministry was issued instructions related to equipping children’s hospitals with medical equipment and products; undertaking the renovation, major repairs and construction of new children’s hospitals; and raising awareness on vaccination from communicable diseases for all population groups, primarily children.
