Cooperation in the nuclear energy sector, including development of joint projects, was one of the main subjects on the agenda.
Mr Medvedev and Mr Klaus also discussed current international affairs, in particular solutions to the global financial crisis with reference to the results of the G20’s Pittsburgh summit, the creation of a new European security system, Russia-EU relations, and preparations for the upcoming Russia-EU summit.
With the sixty-fifth anniversary of victory over Nazism approaching, the talks raised the issue of preventing attempts to falsify history.
Cultural and humanitarian cooperation was also one of the issues examined at the talks.

Mr Klaus is in Russia on a one-day working visit.
