The President was told how children train and shown the up-to-date equipment they use. In particular, Mr Putin examined the shot zone, the aerobics and weight training hall, the hall with speed skating lanes and the Ldinka and Snezhok ice arenas.
The Sirius Educational Centre was created with the Olympic infrastructure as its base at Vladimir Putin’s initiative. The centre’s main task is to find, develop and professionally support children and young people who have achieved success in art, sports or science.
The centre works all year round; 600 children and young people aged 10 to 17 go there each month from across Russia.
