“The outstanding scientific discoveries of this industry’s founders, as well as the successes and achievements of your predecessors, largely contributed to the breakthrough in the development of national economy and the creation of a powerful production complex and advanced nuclear power industry in our country, and ensured Russia’s nuclear parity and its defence capability.
It is important that you carefully preserve this unique legacy, set bold and ambitious goals for yourself, and produce significant professional results. Today, it is important to fully use the nuclear industry’s potential in order to modernise the national economy and strengthen Russia's position in global competition. Nuclear technology must effectively serve science, industry and healthcare, and contribute to the implementation of promising programmes in space and the Arctic.
I am sure that you will continue working conscientiously and complete challenging tasks with honour for the benefit of Russia.
I would also like to pass on the warmest, sincere words of appreciation to the veterans of this industry.”
