The message reads, in part:
“Founded in 1866, the Moscow Conservatory united brilliant creative forces and from the outset became one of the most recognised educational, cultural and training centres of our capital and the whole country. Famous schools took shape and developed, and wonderful teachers and mentors worked with inspiration here. It was their great, selfless work that opened the world to many outstanding performers, composers, and conductors. And of course, the Moscow Conservatory has been a real space of attraction for all who love music.
I would like to note that the Conservatory is marking this anniversary while it is on the rise. Today, authoritative international festivals and competitions, concerts and forums are held, and interesting and diverse projects are implemented under its auspices. But the main thing is that talented people who are infinitely loyal to music teach and study here, and care about the richest historical and spiritual heritage of their home institution and worthily continue its traditions.”
