Vladimir Putin met in Ankara with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. On the Russian side the meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov, Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexei Yerkhov, Energy Minister Alexander Novak, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and Russia’s Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev.
The President of Russia arrived in Turkey on a working visit to attend the fifth trilateral meeting between the leaders of the guarantor states of the Astana process on the settlement in Syria.
