On March 25, Cultural Worker’s Day, Vladimir Putin will meet, via videoconference, with the winners of the Presidential Prize for young culture professionals and the Presidential Prize for writing and art for children and young people.
The winners of the 2020 prize for young culture professionals are conductor Dimitris Botinis, composer Elmir Nizamov, and theatre and film actress Anna Chipovskaya.
The 2020 Presidential Prize for writing and art for children and young people was awarded to artist Vladimir Zuikov (posthumously); Children’s Art School No. 1 teacher from the Karasuksky District in the Novosibirsk Region Alexander Punko; and the team that created the Feat of the People exhibition in the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War Igor Ugolnikov, Alexander Shkolnik and Dmitry Poshtarenko.
The 2019 winners will also join the videoconference meeting with the President, since they were unable to meet in person as part of the traditional prize awarding ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic restrictions.

On the same day, the President will visit the new Children’s Musical Theatre of Young Actor where he will take a look at the training-and-rehearsal complex and the audience hall of the theatre.
The Children’s Musical Theatre of Young Actor, established in 1988, is a recognized leader in children’s theatre in Russia. Its performers include children aged 9 to 16. The playbill lists Russian and international musical classics, and the productions are intended for young spectators. Dozens of theatre graduates have devoted their lives to theatre and cinema art and have become professional artists, filmmakers and musicians.
