The Federal Law introduces clarifying amendments to Articles 927 and 938 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation in order to ensure uniformity in the use of the term ”insurer.“
The need to make these amendments is due to international commitments of the Russian Federation, undertaken in accordance with the Protocol on the Accession of the Russian Federation to the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organisation dated April 15, 1994, signed on December 16, 2011.
