During their consultations that lasted over three hours, the parties touched upon a wide range of matters, including low-carbon development and topical trends for de-carbonising global trade.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to open and honest dialogue stipulating a consistent discussion of diverse matters regarding the international climate agenda. They voiced their desire to disregard any political disagreements for the sake of jointly countering climate change.
The parties agreed to continue their discussion in a working format and also during the upcoming ministerial meeting on climate, scheduled to be held in London on July 25–26.
