The President congratulated the Prosecutor General and all of the staff of the prosecutor’s office on their professional holiday – Prosecutor’s Office Day.
Mr Medvedev said that during the crisis period protecting people’s rights takes on particular importance and noted the prosecutor’s office’s good work in ensuring that employers pay off wage debts to their workers.
The President also instructed the prosecutor’s office to take the steps necessary to ensure that changes to the tax and criminal legislation regarding punishment for tax crimes are enforced.
Scheduled inspections of small and medium businesses were also one of the subjects of discussion at the meeting.
