The meeting was attended by senior executives and specialists from federal and regional executive authorities and business leaders.
The participants reviewed the proposals submitted by the constituent entities of the Russian Federation with regard to the Tourism and the Hospitality Industry national project and the new state programme titled “Tourism Development.”
Igor Levitin highlighted the priority of digitalising the tourism industry, improving its legal framework and expanding support measures for the stakeholders, given the uncertainty that prevails around the world.
Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) Yelena Lysenkova updated the participants on the progress in implementing the national project and Rostourism’s action plan for implementing the first phase of the Tourism Development Strategy in the Russian Federation to 2035.
The proposals drafted by the State Council commission will be reviewed and worked through jointly with the Government.
