The meeting was attended by Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev, Presidential Advisor Alexander Levitskaya and heads of the relevant federal and regional executive government bodies, sectoral organisations of entrepreneurs and scientific and technical companies.
Opening the meeting, Igor Levitin told the participants about the drafting of proposals to ensure socio-economic stability and protect the population of the Russian Federation under the external sanctions pressure.
Chair of the State Council Commission on Education Igor Vasilyev reported on an analysis of the regions’ proposals on the functioning of the general educational system under the current conditions.
The participants reviewed additional measures in different areas, in part, to create new jobs at educational institutions, ensure that schools have the equipment and tools they need for training and upbringing, provide schoolchildren with hot meals, conduct major repairs of schools, and adjust teachers’ salaries for inflation.
Following the discussion, proposals will be reviewed by the commission and sent to the State Council’s working group on resolving economic issues and countering the spread of the coronavirus.
