The heads of state discussed the development of cooperation between the two countries in civil nuclear energy, the peaceful uses of outer space, as well as issues concerning further integration into the CIS. They also discussed the construction of Caspian gas pipeline capacities and expanding the Central Asia – Centre pipeline.
At the beginning of the meeting Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on his birthday. The President of Kazakhstan turns 68 today.
