The Federal Law is designed to legally regulate social interactions connected with establishing, storing, and using databases containing copies of court rulings that recognise information materials as extremist and extremist materials. At the same time, the Federal Law regulates legal relations connected with establishing, storing, and using a single register of data on persons engaged in activities in an extremist or terrorist organisation with the purpose of implementing the disenfranchisement of such persons as set out in Russian legislation.
The Government of the Russian Federation has been granted powers to establish a procedure for providing data to be included in the single register and the content of such data.
