The Presidents shared their views on key issues of bilateral cooperation. They also touched upon some international topics including those related to the meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Heads of State Council (HSC) set to be held in Uzbekistan this autumn.
Both parties confirmed their mutual aspirations to comprehensively strengthen the Russian-Uzbek relations of strategic partnership and cooperation.
Earlier the President of Russia sent Shavkat Mirziyoyev a message of greetings and signed an executive order on awarding the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Order of Alexander Nevsky.
