Winners of the special competition, announced on June 28, 2022, on the instruction of Vladimir Putin, to support social projects related to the provision of comprehensive assistance to residents of Donbass, victims and refugees and social support for vulnerable groups of citizens whose lives were most affected by the hostile actions of foreign states, were announced at the meeting.
A total of 2,141 applications were submitted for the competition; 493 non-profit NGOs, whose projects received the highest scores following an independent expert review, became the winners. Presidential grants worth a total of two billion rubles were allocated to them as per the decision of the Coordination Committee. The projects’ implementation will commence on October 1.
Financing, totalling more than ten billion rubles, was allocated to implement 4,324 socially important projects through the Presidential Grants Foundation in 2022 with due account of the two previous planned competitions whose results were finalised in the first six months of 2022. Another two billion rubles were divided between constituent entities of the Russian Federation to co-finance their own competitions for socially-oriented NPOs.
