The message reads, in part:
“Ties in education, a traditionally important part of our strategic partnership, and allied relations between our states, are making dynamic headway.
Many large Russian university affiliates are operating in Tashkent and other Uzbek cities. Recently, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University opened its affiliate in Dzhizak. More Uzbek students are studying in our country; today, there are over 46,000. Importantly, the education grant quotas for citizens of Uzbekistan has been increased to 750.
In addition, we are successfully implementing bilateral projects in education, including preschool facilities for children, as well as joint training programmes for the teaching staff.
I hope you will hold constructive, meaningful discussions at the forum and map out new, advanced forms of work for further strengthening friendly relations between our countries and peoples.”
