The Government of the Russian Federation was instructed to make passenger cars more affordable for the citizens of Russia, to set specific targets to improve such affordability in 2023 compared to 2022, and to constantly monitor vehicle pricing policies in order to prevent unjustified price hikes.
Additionally, the Government, along with Russian Railways and the concerned freight shippers, were instructed to study the issue of amending in 2023 the tariff policy during container freight shipments to seaports in the Far Eastern and North-Western federal districts and from these seaports.
The Government of the Russian Federation and Russian Railways were instructed, in particular, to increase the number of eastward-bound container trains by three trains daily before the year is out and to reduce coal shipment volumes in this direction by not more than 800,000 tonnes. They shall increase the number of trains carrying containers in gondola cars from the Far Eastern Federal District, taking into account the relevant railway tariff discounts extended until late 2023.
The Government of the Russian Federation and the Bank of Russia were instructed to amend legislation regarding out-of-court bankruptcy proceedings for certain categories of citizens.
