The message reads, in part:
“You have always worked tirelessly and provided an example of dedicated service to the Russian Orthodox Church, the people and the Fatherland. Your selfless service and care for the welfare of Russian citizens have earned you our deep respect.
Now that we have come against serious challenges, the Church, under your primacy, has remained united with the people, sharing with them the hardships of this troubled period and helping those who need mercy and attention, providing spiritual support to our military personnel, and directing its efforts at strengthening the indubitable moral and patriotic ideals and values in our society, especially among our young people.”
