The Treaty between the Russian Federation and the United States of America on the Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms, signed in Prague on April 8, 2010, places limits on the parties’ strategic offensive weapons and regulates the deployment, re-equipment, and elimination of such weapons. For the purpose of monitoring compliance with the Treaty, the parties have the right to conduct inspections.
However, the United States has intentionally failed to perform its inspection-related obligations under the Treaty.
Therefore, the Treaty has been suspended as per the Federal Law.
