Escorted by Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko and Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, the President toured a consultative and diagnostic centre, a hydrotherapy unit, a school area for social and psychological rehabilitation, a gym with medical equipment, and stationary hospital wards.
The children’s centre staff showed the President unmatched diagnostic and rehabilitation exercise machines. Director of the Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital Yelena Petryaykina provided clarifications during the tour.
The Federal Children’s Rehabilitation Centre was built under the national project Health and will open on June 2. The centre will provide treatment to children and teenagers with severe chronic and complex pathologies aged from one month to 18 years from all regions of Russia. The daytime and 24-hour hospital, which consists of seven rehabilitation departments, will provide medical care to over 6,000 patients a year.
