This Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-Border Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific was adopted on May 19, 2016.
The provisions of the Framework Agreement aim to develop cross-border paperless trade by creating conditions for the mutual recognition and exchange of documents and data on trade in digital form, as well as to increase the interoperability of national and sub-regional ‘one-stop’ systems to improve the efficiency and transparency of international trade transactions.
