The message reads, in part:
“The current forum brings together those involved in the special military operation, veterans of combat operations, representatives of government agencies, public associations, expert community and the media at the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill.
“The agenda of your meeting includes a wide range of serious and topical issues linked with the development of the veterans’ movement. It is very important that commanders and soldiers, who have been bravely defending Russia in recent times, and who have withstood frontline ordeals with honour, are currently becoming involved in the implementation of significant social, charitable and volunteer projects and initiatives. The state and society are tasked with creating all the required conditions for this. Of course, the forum participants will prioritise issues of perpetuating the memory of our deceased comrades, supporting their families and friends, and raising young people in the spirit of high spiritual and moral ideals and values and traditions of patriotism, civic consciousness, selfless service to the Motherland and respect for our history.
I am confident that the forum will take place in a constructive spirit, that it will be well-organised, and that its decisions will evolve into real deeds and undertakings.”
