The message reads, in part:
“Please accept my congratulations on Miners’ Day, a holiday our country has been celebrating for many years.
You have dedicated your lives to a challenging but rewarding and honourable profession that requires exceptional competence as well as special personal qualities such as endurance, dedication, resilience, courage and comradely mutual support. These high moral standards, along with the established labour traditions and a sense of pride in belonging to the mining community, are passed down from generation to generation, serving as a sound foundation for strong mining dynasties.
Today we can confidently claim that, despite all the challenges and restrictions, the industry is making progress. It has increased coal production and processing, found new, prospective markets, introduced advanced technologies, making a substantial contribution to national energy security and the sustainable operation of industrial and defence enterprises, as well as to solving current social problems.
I am confident that you will continue your dedicated work with an honest effort to achieve tangible results for the benefit of Russia.”
