The message reads, in part:
“Seventy-five years ago, the Soviet Union was the first country to recognise a new sovereign state which emerged in the Korean land. Ever since we have been building relations between our countries based on the principles of friendship, neighbourliness and mutual respect, with substantial experience of constructive cooperation accumulated in various areas.
I am confident that through joint efforts we will continue to consistently develop bilateral ties in all directions. This totally meets the interests of our peoples and is in line with ensuring security and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia.”
