Dmitry Medvedev made amendments to the Federal Law On the Temporary Prohibition of Human Cloning

The federal law signed by the President temporarily prohibits human cloning, until a federal law is passed that sets the procedures for using organism-cloning technology to clone humans.

A 5-year ban on human cloning set previously under the Federal Law on the Temporary Prohibition of Human Cloning expired on June 23, 2007.
