The leaders will discuss the current state and prospects for the further promotion of comprehensive cooperation within the SCO and ways to improve its activities. Topical international and regional problems will be discussed.
The Astana Declaration and other joint documents will be signed following the meeting.
A meeting in the SCO Plus format is scheduled, where the heads of SCO observer and dialogue partner states are invited, as well as heads of international organisations and guests of Kazakhstan’s presidency.
Vladimir Putin is also expected to take part in a range of important bilateral meetings with heads of states taking part in the summit in Astana.
