The Strategy is a strategic planning document in the area of ensuring the national security of the Russian Federation that determines the objective, principles, tasks and guidelines of the state policy in ensuring road safety for the mid-term and longer as well as ways for its efficient implementation.
The legal basis of the Strategy is the Constitution of the Russian Federation, generally recognised principles and norms of international law, international treaties of the Russian Federation, federal constitutional laws, federal laws, and legal acts by the President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation.
