Participants in the meeting included representatives from the Transport Ministry, Industry and Trade Ministry, Finance Ministry, Economic Development Ministry, Federal Security Service, Interstate Aviation Committee, several federal constituent entities, regional enterprises and public organisations in the field of aviation.
The meeting addressed issues related to implementing the federal executive authorities’ Action Plan aimed at developing general aviation.
During the discussion, it was noted that many planned measures have not been fulfilled on time or fully, and the regulatory framework that is necessary for developing general aviation has not been adopted.
Moreover, it was stated that it is imperative to turn attention to fulfilling the Plan’s clauses aimed at creating conditions to acquire foreign aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of up to 5,700 kg, and helicopters with a maximum take-off weight of up to 3,100 kg, as well as to produce this type of equipment in Russia, including with the use of foreign-manufactured components. Not all of Russia’s federal constituent entities have prepared plans for developing general aviation, including ground infrastructure used for this type of aviation.
Heads of the Commission’s working groups have been instructed to continue working jointly with federal executive authorities to fulfil the Plan’s clauses and report at Commission meetings.
